Uhl, Timothy George (P3, C2, L5)
Private First Class Timothy George Uhl of Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky, died on 12 January 1975 in an auto accident returning home from training. Uhl enlisted in the Kentucky Army National Guard's Service Battery 2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery Battalion on 19 December 1974. Drill was dismissed early during his first drill weekend on his second day of drill due to hazardous driving conditions. Uhl left the armory and died in a single car accident on Parkers Mill Road returning home from drill. Uhl had not yet been issued his uniform. Uhl, a native of California, had previous military service with the U. S. Air Force from July 1965 to January 1969 and then the Air Force Reserve until 28 Jul 1971.
Uhl listed his civilian occupation as a checker with the Wiedemann Brewing Company in Covington
Uhl perished in the same accident as his comrade Sergeant Glave Thomas Powell. Uhl is buried in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles County, California.
