Scott, Grover C. (P1, C3, L15)

Sergeant Grover C. Scott, 23, of Fayette County, Kentucky, died of pneumonia at the Fort Bliss hospital on 22 January 1917. At the time he was serving on federal active duty near El Paso, Texas with Co C, 2nd Kentucky Infantry during Mexican Border Service. He enlisted in his unit in January 1912.

    Sgt. Grover Scott, company C, Second Kentucky infantry, died at the base hospital, Ft. Bliss, Monday morning at 2:40 o’clock of pneumonia. He was 22 years of age. His relatives at Lexington, Ky., have been notified.
