Foster, Willard Emmal (P2, C2, L20)

FosterPrivate Willard Emmal Foster, 18, of Mercer, County, Kentucky, joined the Harrodsburg National Guard unit some time before they were activated in November 1940. He was taken prisoner on 9 April 1941 and survived the Death March. He was held at Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan #1. He died of dysentery on 1 June 1942. He is buried at the Manila American Cemetery in Manila, Philippines.foster_G1
