Barnes, Robert Mansford (P3, C1, L5)

Barnes_Robert_MCaptain Robert M. Barnes, 28, of Nicholasville, Jessamine County, Kentucky, died on 8 January 1996, after a long battle with a service connected illness. He was a member of Detachment 2, Support Company, 1/20th Special Forces Group and was serving on Active Duty Special Work (ADSW) with the Joint Support Operations (JSO) activity at the time of his illness. He was moved to the Temporary Disability Retired List just prior to his death. He is buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
